What is TeamGantt?
TeamGantt is a project management solution designed to track and edit projects in Gantt chart mode. However, the software is much more than an easy-to-use Gantt chart maker and includes many other project management features as well.

Free
The free plan is designed for personal projects and is a good option for students and small projects. This plan offers access for one manager and two collaborators. Pro
The Pro plan is priced at $49 per manager per month if billed annually or $59 per manager per month if billed monthly. Each manager gets 20 projects with unlimited collaborators and tasks. With the Pro plan, you can unlock several advanced project management tools, including time tracking, project scheduling and priority support.
Unlimited Everything
The Enterprise plan offers unlimited projects, users and collaborators. This plan is $799 per month, billed annually; monthly pricing is not available for this plan. The Enterprise plan features customized training, a dedicated account manager and advanced security tools.

TeamGantt offers many helpful features besides Gantt charts, making it a solid choice for a project management solution.
Project views
The Gantt charts (Figure A) in TeamGantt are editable and interactive. Update project status, change due dates, add comments or check task dependencies, all from the Gantt view. Users can also track and reassign tasks with this feature. Four additional project views are available: List, Calendar, Board (Kanban) and My Tasks.
Team collaboration
TeamGantt allows users to comment on every task or milestone. To notify coworkers via email, simply @ mention them, and TeamGantt will notify them of the tag. To view all comments and discussions across all tasks, head to “Conversations” by clicking the green speech bubble icon on the left hand menu. However, TeamGantt doesn’t offer a native text or video chat function like other digital collaboration tools.
Time tracking and scheduling
With TeamGantt’s project management time tracking feature (Figure B), there is no need for third-party integration, which sets it apart from some other project management solutions. Users can log their time, view task progress and check the actual time spent on tasks. The drag-and-drop functionality also makes it easy to create project timelines, assign work and complete other scheduling tasks.
Dependencies and prioritization
Sometimes, one task must be completed before another can begin. TeamGantt’s dependencies capture these relationships, so the new task can’t be started until the prior one is finished. As for project level prioritization, TeamGantt defaults to alpha-numeric order, but you can move a project to the top of the list by starring it.
Document management
Files can be uploaded directly to the “Documents” section of a task or added via the comments section (Figure C). Select the “Files” option from the top menu to view all files uploaded to a particular project. If you don’t want files to be associated with a particular task, they can be uploaded to the project in this section as well.
TeamGantt ease of use

TeamGantt offers one of the most intuitive Gantt charts thanks to its drag-and-drop functionality. It’s quick to set up and presents a low learning curve, and the interface is easy to navigate. It also offers well-reviewed mobile apps so that users can manage projects on the go. However, TeamGantt currently lacks built-in automations, which is a pretty large drawback that stands in stark contrast to most of the learning project management solutions on the market today.

Knowledge base
TeamGantt offers an extensive yet easy to browse knowledge base that is full of educational material. Using the knowledge base, users can teach themselves how to use the project management platform.
Live training
TeamGantt offers a free Kickstart live training event every single weekday that is specifically tailored to new users. During the training, a TeamGantt employee will cover all the basics. Each session ends with a Q&A portion so that you can ask about topics that weren’t covered in the training.
Customer service channels
If the knowledge base or live training doesn’t answer your question, then give support a call, email them via the company website, or even contact them via physical mail. Keep in mind that the phones are only open Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm EDT, so you won’t be able to get help on evenings and weekends.

Best uses for TeamGantt
Due to its unique pricing structure and set of features, TeamGantt works particularly well for several different project management scenarios.
Gantt chart beginners
Many Gantt chart platforms are difficult to learn and confusing to use. Not so with TeamGantt, which boasts an intuitive, easy-to-learn interface and offers plenty of training resources. This makes TeamGantt an excellent choice for teams that are new to using Gantt charts and find other platforms too complex for their needs.
Deadline-driven teams
Because Gantt charts are so dependent on dates and calendars, they are an excellent choice for deadline-driven teams that need to follow a precise timeline. TeamGantt helps to keep everything on track and makes it easy to both schedule and reschedule tasks as needed.
Project managers
TeamGantt’s unique pricing structure only charges for every manager, not every single user. If your company has a limited number of project managers, then TeamGantt can actually be a cost-effective choice. However, if your teams have multiple managers, then you might end up paying extra for the same features and functionality, so crunch the numbers before making a decision.

Trello
Trello is another small business project management app, but it excels at Kanban boards rather than Gantt charts (you’ll need an extension, or “power-up,” in order to get Gantt charts in Trello). Trello’s pricing plans are extremely affordable, starting at only $5 per user per month, and its automation creator is extremely easy to use.
Asana
Asana’s free plan supports up to 15 users and unlimited projects, making it a great choice for small teams on a budget. If you have a larger team, paid plans start at 10.99 per user per month. It offers many similar features to Team Gantt, including Gantt charts, time tracking and resource management. Asana also allows users to create automations and customer workflows.
Microsoft Project
If you’re a Microsoft user, then you should definitely consider using Microsoft Project. This enterprise project management software is surprisingly affordable for the number of features that it offers, starting at only $10 per user per month. Microsoft is well-suited to power users and complex projects, which means that it also represents a higher learning curve than TeamGantt and many other alternatives.
